Riber Hansson was born in 1939 in Sweden. He worked as a constructing engineer STI 1965, and later at different architect’s offices in Stockholm. In the 70’s he has found his own company concentrated upon perspective drawing. He studied art mostly privately, deeper studied oil and tempera painting. Then he was employed in the newspaper Svenska Dagbladet from 1990 to 2000, as cartoonist and illustrator. Currently he is working as a freelance artist and publishes in Swedish and European newspapers and magazines. His artworks have been exhibited in numerous individual and collective exhibitions in various countries of the world. He has published several his own books and illustrated more than 20 books. His cartoons and illustrations were awarded prestigious prizes (we can mention at least Award of Excellence in 1998 and 1999, Special prize to the best known satirical artist/cartoonist in 2002, Word Press Cartoons Grand Prix 2007, Press Cartoon Europe’s Grand Prix 2009, …). His artworks are represented in several musems in Europe and USA. He lives and works in Stockholm, Sweden.
