David Pablo Pugliese was born on January 20th, 1978 in Quilmes, Buenos Aires, Argentina. He begins to draw in 1996. Participates in several cartoon and illustration contests around the world (Spain, Cuba, Colombia, Romania, China, Austria, Luxembourg, Belgium). In April 2001 he receives the Second Prize for caricature in the XX Biennial of San Antonio de los Banos, Cuba. In January 2002 he does a caricature special feature in the TV show “El reves de la Trama” for Canal (a) of Argentina. His caricatures and illustrations were exhibited at many places – e.g.: Palais de Glace, Alianza Francesa, Museo de Bellas Artes de La Plata, Casa de Arte Dona Rosa, Espacio 10 Art Gallery, Hipodromo de Palermo (All in Buenos Aires). In April 2008 he illustrates the room number 204 of the DORMIRDCINE Hotel in Madrid, Spain. In 2012 “Selva de Ciudad” a children’s story by Fernanda Arguello and illustrated by David Pugliese is published by Gerbera ediciones. In 2013 the book “David Pugliese CARICATURAS” is published in Greece by Cartoon Ark. Currently, David works as a freelance illustrator and has collaborated with many clients such as : SQP (USA), BOOM! magazine (USA), The Wittenburg Door (USA), Teína (Spain), Reader´s Digest (Argentina), BAvoice (Argentina), Catrasca (Argentina), Arlequin (Argentina), Orsai (Argentina).
